Perhaps one of Weymouths best kept secrets, the Duke is a tiny
town centre pub with its own unique atmosphere. For
those who favour a real pub over the more anonymous
chains, the Duke has about as much in common with a Wetherspoons
or Yates as a Michelin-starred eaterie has with a KFC.
Sporting a log fire and one of the only outside loos in any
pub in the UK, the Duke attracts a friendly, colourful clientele
especially on a Friday or Saturday night. Definitely the pub
of choice for a good lively session without the benefit of
puking hoodies and pounding hard house.

the lower level (formally The Anchor Inn). This is a great
place to drink, chat and watch the boats go by.
The place comes alive at night with dancefloors and bars
on the middle and upper levels with good tunes from the 80's
to today. If you fancy a 'screaming orgasm' or 'sex on the
beach' then the middle level bar is well worth a visit to
get some fantastic cocktails. The downstairs lower level has
more of a pub atmosphere with a large bar and pool tables
etc.
This popular location has plenty of large tv screens for
sporting events including SKY.
