Terras face test of character,
says Wozza

WEYMOUTH skipper Warren Byerley has branded the next fortnight
a huge test of character for his wounded side.
The Terras suffered a humiliating 6-0 defeat at the hands
of Alfreton Town in the FA Trophy last Saturday and the 26-year-old
is determined to bounce back in emphatic fashion.
He told Echosport: We started slow against Alfreton
and you cannot do that against anyone, particularly against
sides that are two leagues above you.
We made too many individual errors and instead of them
earning their goals we handed them to them instead.
We did not do ourselves any justice at all and to be
honest I felt sorry for the fans more than anyone.
Everyone was confident beforehand so to go out in the
manner that we did was very disappointing indeed.
Byerley went on to add: At the moment we seem to play
well for three or four games and then let things slip for
a couple.
I dont know why that is but one thing is for
sure and that is all the motivation is there now to go to
Evesham United on Sunday and put in a good performance, which
is imperative.
Over the next couple of weeks we are really going to
see what characters we have in the side because when you suffer
a disappointment like last Saturday you want to put it right
straight way.
Byerley reaffirmed his commitment to the cause on Monday
by turning down an approach from an unnamed club who had a
bid for his services accepted by the Terras board.
So far this season the popular front man has netted 21 goals
in all competitions and has played every minute of every game
with the exception of the Dorset Senior Cup defeat against
Dorchester Town.
