Rose hope scuppered by County

WEYMOUTHS hopes of landing Jordan Rose have been quashed
after Stockport County offered the talented defender a one-year
deal.
Rose, who left the Terras for Paulton Rovers in March during
a huge clearout at the Wessex Stadium, had been training with
the club again this summer but the chance to play Npower League
Two football next season is clearly too good an opportunity
to turn down.
Terras boss Ian Hutchinson said: Jordan has been
doing well in training and we were hoping to get him in but
he has now been offered a one-year deal at Stockport County.
It means another target has gone by the wayside but
good luck to the lad as he has cer- tainly got something about
him. It also proves to some of the younger ones we have that
it is possible to push on and play at a higher level.
Rose becomes the third trialist Hutchinson looks to have
lost out on in the past 10 days, following Ugo Udoji and Ben
Gerring, who have both taken up trials at Torquay United and
Forest Green Rovers respectively.
