Hale to clinch Harrison deal
By Rob Meech

GOALKEEPER Ryan Harrison looks set to become boss Matty Hales
fifth signing as his Weymouth revolution continues to take
shape.
Harrison is expected to put pen to paper today on a deal
to take him to the Wessex Stadium after notifying current
club Oxford City of his desire to leave.
Hale made no secret of his admiration for Harrison, who used
to train with him at Team Bath, and expressed his delight
at landing the highly-rated gloveman.
Hale said: He has been a big target for me and is someone
Ive had in my mind for a while so it is great to get
him on board.
Ryan has a lot of experience at clubs such as Forest
Green Rovers and he has been involved in training at Team
Bath so me and Andy Tillson are aware of what he can do.
I have no doubts that he can make the step up to this
level; hes a very reliable keeper and that will make
the back four feel confident.
The goalkeeping position is a very important spot to
fill and I know that Ryan will do an excellent job for us.
I have been talking to him for a week or so and know
he is very keen to come here.
Hale has been extremely active in the transfer market since
his arrival on the south coast, having already lured Dean
Grubb, Andy Harris, Dean Smith and Matt Thorne to the club.
Harrisons arrival from the Southern League Premier
Division outfit is another piece of the puzzle solved, but
the new Terras chief insists more is to come.
When asked if there are other deals in the pipeline, Hale
replied: A couple of players are starting to get back
to me. There is a centre-half we are talking to and a left-sided
midfielder who Im keen to bring here.
I hope to get two or three more signings completed
within the next week but Im also keeping my options
open.
There have been a few people who have rung me wanting
to train with us and I still want to have a look at local
lads.
