Oh brother!

WEYMOUTH striker Raphael Nade is hoping that his sibling's recent strike against Arsenal will help inspire him in his quest to fire the Terras into the Football League.

Christian Nade, who is Rafa's younger brother, opened his Premiership account for the season with a superb goal against the Gunners on December 30.

That 1-0 victory was the Blades' first over the North London outfit for over 33 years.

Rafa said: "It was a great goal and I was just really pleased for him because we are always on the phone talking about things and who knows? Hopefully it will give me a bit of inspiration so I can do the same as soon as possible.

"We have always been close because we are the only two in the family who play football and as I said before we are always on the phone giving each other advice.

"He got really down the other day after he had played at Watford. He had several chances in that game to score but it did not happen for him so I just told him to stay confident and keep working hard.

"It was funny because I said to him at Christmas `you are going to score against Arsenal' and he was saying ,no, no'. So I said to him `why are you being like that for? Pick your head up, you are going to score.' The fact he did score was brilliant. He was sup-posed to dedicate the goal to our little niece but I think he forgot."

Rafa has only netted twice so far this season, which is a far cry from the form he showed when on loan at the Terras at the tail end of last term when he scored 13 in la outings.

He said: "I am always looking to re-establish myself and to be honest I am looking for goals. I cannot see what I am doing wrong on the pitch. I

am working hard but it has just not happened. Obviously there is something wrong and I need to put that right.

"It is like somebody has put a spell on me. I am arriving in the box at the right times and getting on the end of things but they are not going in. All I can do is keep working on my game and make sure I keep all my shots on target.

"I have also got to stay confident because if I lose my head then that would be it. The manager believes in me and I have just got to keep going." Despite his recent disappointments in front of goal, Nade is enjoying life in Dorset.

He said: "I am living in Bournemouth now I have been there since July and I like to go and sit down by the sea and think and relax a little. I know it is a bit cold at the minute but I have been at Carlisle so that is okay. I love it down here, love it."

Weymouth, who are currently sixth in Nationwide Conference National, will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they entertain fellow promotion hopefuls Burton Albion today.

The Terras have lost their last two against Stevenage Borough and more recently Forest Green Rovers.

Nade said: "It has been very disappointing because they were two games that we know we could have got six points from.

"We let the fans and ourselves down but now we have the chance to put that right against Burton. If we can beat them then we will be right back up there and back on track.

"Personally I do not do pressure but it is a big game. They are looking to stay in the play-offs and we definitely want to be in the play-offs so it is going to be like, you die or I die."
