Breckin: We'll be ruthless!
By Matt Pitman
Thursday 3rd November 2005
SKIPPER Ian Breckin has warned Weymouth that Forest will
be ruthless against them on Saturday.
The defender - a close friend of Terras striker Kirk Jackson
- believes Gary Megson's outfit will have too much class for
the Terras.
He told Echosport: "Facing Weymouth in the first round
of the FA Cup is a banana skin for us but, at the same time,
it's a game we're really looking forward to.
"The big advantage we have is that we're playing at
the City Ground where we've got a good record. We've only
lost one of our last nine home games.
"The thing we're going to have to watch is making sure
we're not complacent.
"It'll be a great day for Weymouth and I'm sure all
their supporters will enjoy the occasion but we can't get
wrapped up in the cup upset thing.
"The FA Cup is a competition we want to do well in,
because our fans deserve it and I'm hopeful we can have a
good run.
"But while we'll certainly respect Weymouth, we want
to win as comfortably as we can and that means being ruthless.
"I don't know much about Weymouth, apart from what Jacko
occasionally tells me, but I'm sure they're hopeful of causing
an upset.
"What we've got to do is forget about the fact they
are a non-League club and think of the game as a ordinary
Coca-Cola League One fixture.
"We've got a lot of good players here who should, on
paper at least, be too good for Weymouth. Hopefully that'll
be the case."
Following relegation last season, miserable away form this
term has left Forest tenth in League One.
Recent results included crashing 3-0 at Yeovil Town, a scoreline
that has given Terras fans confidence ahead of the big clash.
A fleet of nine Terras Supporters' Club-organised
coaches will be departing the Wessex Stadium at 7.30am prompt
on Saturday.
Pick-up points are from Portland (7am), Wyke Smug-glers (7.15am),
Alf's Fish and Chip shop (7.15am), Hotel Prince Regent (7.15am),

(7.45am).
Fans booked on the Terras special train service should be
at Weymouth station by 7am for a 7.10am departure.
The service, operated by Heritage Train Tours, is due to
arrive at Nottingham by lpm and depart for the return journey
at 5.45pm.

from 6.30am and Weymouth railway station from 6am.
