spotlight

WEYMOUTH'S FA Cup heroics has caused a surge of interest in
the club's big reunion night later this month.
Former players, supporters and officials will share memories
at the Terras Reunited event at the resort's Hotel Prince
Regent on November 18.
Organised by fan Gavin Borthwick, plans for the gala include
tales from years gone by, musical entertainment and a buffet.
Lined up to appear are legendary striker Anni Iannone, talented
midfielder Pete Conning and current star Ian Hutchinson.
Borthwick said: "The event has been in the works for
quite a few months but everything has really come together
in the last couple of weeks.
"The whole idea is to provide an opportunity for old
friends to get together and reminisce about the club.
"Our fantastic FA Cup run this season has prompted many
people to travel down memory lane, thinking about the legendary
trips to Cardiff City and Cambridge United back in the 1980s.
"Now we've got another great moment to stay with us
- the sight of Andy Harris heading the equaliser at Nottingham
Forest.
"The club is currently on a real high and the Terras
Reunited event is the ideal place to have a chat and socialise
over a beer or two.
"The last few days has seen tickets going really quickly
so my advice to anyone interested is order your tickets as
soon as possible."
Tickets priced £10 are now on sale for the event, which
gets underway at 7.30pm, are available from the Wessex Stadium
office or club shop on matchdays.
