Terras rocked
by Gosling exit

JAMIE Gosling has left Weymouth after just a week at the
Wessex Stadium.
The midfielder has joined Torquay United following just one
appearance for the Terras in last Saturday's FA Trophy exit
at Redbridge.
The 22-year-old last week penned non-contract terms with Steve
Johnson's outfit but has now opted for a return to the full-time
ranks on a one-month deal with the Coca- Cola League One strugglers.
Disappointed Johnson explained: "Jamie joined us last
week on non- contract terms but we agreed he would be with
us for the rest of the season.
"He is keen to get back into the Football League, having
been there with Yeovil last season, so I said to him I would
not stand in his way if he could get himself fixed up with
a league club.
"As a manager of a non-League club, there is no way you
can stop somebody if they want to progress their career.
"It is a shame because I would have liked Jamie here
a lot longer than a week, but at the same time this is a great
chance for the lad.
"I wish him good luck at Torquay and hopefully our paths
will cross again someday."
Johnson today revealed he has transfer-listed midfielder Lee
Charles in bid to turn around the former Aldershot star's
fortunes.
"Sometimes you do things for a reason and that was the
case with Lee," Johnson explained.
"I hope putting him on the list is what it takes to get
the best out of him and this will be a case of reverse psychology.
"I want him to show out on the park that he wants to
stay and cares for the club.
"To be fair to Lee, he did that last night when we had
a training game.
"He looked determined and hungry - now he needs to do
it if he is selected against Havant and Waterlooville at the
weekend.
"If he does, I can see no reason why he can't be a big
part of my plans."
Defender Dave Waterman was hospitalised with an ankle injury
picked up at training last night.
"Dave is looking like his is going to be out on Saturday
which is a real blow because we are short on numbers at the
moment," said Johnson.
Former Watford midfielder Kieran Keane, 22, last night trained
with the Terras and could feature
gainst the Hawks at the Wessex Stadium on Saturday.
"Kieran has been at Watford under Ray Lewington, who
I know well, and we're having a look at him," said Johnson.
"It may well be he is involved at the weekend but we
will see what happens."
Striker Stewart Yetton has returned to parent club Plymouth
Argyle following the end of his one month loan deal at the
Wessex Stadium.
Terras fans will launch Crossbar Challenge in aid of
long-serving midfielder lan Hutchinson on Saturday.
Supporters will attempt to hit the Wessex Stadium crossbar
with two shots during half-time in the Terras game against
Havant and Waterlooville.
Those successful will qualify for a final at the end of the
season, with the winner receiving £100.
Entry is £5 with all proceeds going towards lan Hutchinson's
Testimonial fund.
To enter call in at the club shop before Saturday's game.
