Clark steps into line-up

Saturday 11th December 2004

WEYMOUTH yesterday signed 22-year-old Steve Clark from Hornchurch in time to make his debut at Bishop's Stortford today.

Clark, a left-sided midfielder or attacker, played 60 League games for Southend after joining them from West Ham in November 2001, initially on loan.

He left The Shrimpers in May after a loan spell with Macclesfield and joined big spending Hornchurch during the summer, making 17 midfield starts for them this season before their financial bubble burst.

"He was one of the casualties of their financial collapse," said Terras boss Steve Johnson who plans to employ the 6ft lin dark as a striker following Chukki Eribenne's move to Aldershot on loan.
