A win is a win

A hastily arranged friendly against the
real old enemy Yeovil Town bought much needed revenue into
the wanting coffers of the WFC exchequer as Geoff Butler ran
his eye over a few new players and other were given the chance
to perform.
Weymouth had a great chance to open the scoring against the
run of play on 9 minutes, Matt Hale's great run and cross
was met by the rising head of Rigler who put the ball straight
at keeper Collis.
John Waldock was out to claim his position at the back with
two tremendous goal line clearances before Weymouth took the
lead on 32 minutes. Danny Bailey's 30 yard cross field pass
sought out the sprinting Hale he whipped in a curling cross
that was met first time by Rigler who volleyed home
from 10 yards.
Both sides made changes for the second half and Weymouth certainly
took the upper hand although Kim Grant hit the post for Yeovil
on 47 minutes and Collis was forced to make a point blank
save against Charles on 78 minutes.
