Close to Stevenage is Knebworth House, a gothic stately home and venue of globally well-known rock concerts since 1974.

The house was once home to Sir Edward Bulwer-Lytton, Victorian English novelist and spiritualist, who, as reported by one of his visitors, was so deep in the belief of spiritual realities that he sometimes thought himself to be invisible while others were around.

Directions

Leave Weymouth and head towards the east on the A35, A31 and then get yourself onto the M3. Then M25 clockwise (towards Heathrow and Watford), leave M25 at jct23 and head north up the A1(M). Leave the A1(M) at jct 7 the Stevenage South (A602) exit, the ground is on the right at the second roundabout.
